Astria shuts development firm after sequencer halt
PANews reported on 14 November 2025 that Astria founder Josh Bowen announced on X that he had decided to shut down Astria’s development company. Unchained later covered that the Astria shared sequencer network had been intentionally halted, with block 15,360,577 cited as the last block, after earlier signals including plans to shut down Astria’s Celestia validator. Astria had raised about $18 million across seed and strategic rounds before the wind-down.
