Kraken closes acquisition of Dutch broker BCM
Kraken said on 24 September 2024 that it had completed its purchase of Coin Meester B.V. (BCM), describing the firm as one of the Netherlands’ oldest registered crypto brokers. The deal extended Kraken’s Dutch presence and brought VASP registrations useful for France and Poland while BCM clients were slated to gain access to Kraken’s broader asset list, liquidity, and support. Kraken framed the close as a MiCA-era consolidation move in fragmented European markets.
