Phantom acquires Bitski embedded wallet team

Phantom published an official blog post on 21 May 2024 stating it was acquiring Bitski and that the Bitski team would join Phantom to bring embedded wallets to Solana. CoinDesk separately reported the same day that Phantom bought the a16z- and Coinbase Ventures-backed wallet platform; financial terms were not disclosed. Phantom said Bitski’s existing products would be sunset in the coming months as users transitioned to Phantom’s embedded wallet stack.
