Bitwala’s Nuri entity files Berlin insolvency

Bitwala rebranded to Nuri while offering German banked crypto accounts and exchange features. On 9 August 2022 Nuri GmbH said it had filed for insolvency in Berlin after the market crash and Celsius fallout. Reuters and CoinDesk reported customers could still access deposits even as the company sought insolvency protection—effectively ending Bitwala/Nuri as a going hiring employer.
