Circle acquires Interop Labs team and IP

Circle’s blog on 15 December 2025 said it had signed an agreement to acquire the Interop Labs team and proprietary intellectual property, expected to close in early 2026, to accelerate Arc and CCTP work. Axelar’s blog clarified that Axelar Network, Foundation, and AXL remain independent, with Common Prefix taking over many Interop Labs activities. Interoplabs.io now returns a Framer site-not-found page.
