Paxful winds down its global P2P marketplace
Paxful said it would cease operations by 1 November 2025 after more than a decade connecting peer-to-peer buyers and sellers of bitcoin and other assets across 140-plus countries. The company attributed the decision to the lasting impact of misconduct by former co-founders prior to 2023 and to the cost of extensive compliance remediation under new ownership, while stating it remained financially stable and committed to returning user funds during the wind-down.
