UX Chain shuts Cosmos lending protocol
KuCoin News and other flash outlets reported on 1 April 2026 that UX Chain, the Cosmos-ecosystem lending blockchain formerly known as Umee, announced it would gradually suspend operations. Users were told to close all open positions before 30 April, when platform-wide liquidation would begin, with a full shutdown targeted for 15 May 2026. Coverage said UX reserves and treasury funds would cover the protocol’s funding shortfall. A later UX governance explorer proposal noted the network had been halted since 10 July 2026.
