ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sei Development Foundation is seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with executive leadership. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support, acting as a trusted strategic partner with broad visibility into organizational priorities, cross-functional execution, and alignment. The Chief of Staff will help drive execution, maintain clarity across initiatives, and support high-impact decision-making during a pivotal stage of growth.
This position is based in New York City and requires a strong on-site presence to work closely with the executive team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnership & Execution
- Partner with executives to prioritize and execute strategic objectives across the organization
- Translate high-level strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes
- Prepare briefings, analyses, and materials for key decisions and leadership engagements
Operational Rigor & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Design and maintain operating rhythms, including planning cycles, project trackers, executive updates, and follow-ups
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring coordination across departments
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and implement proactive solutions
Organizational Influence & Communication
- Serve as a central hub for information flow, ensuring priorities and decisions are communicated clearly
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Special Projects
- Lead high-visibility, high-impact projects with autonomy, discretion, and judgment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Professional experience in operations, strategy, investment banking, consulting, or similar roles
- Experience working closely with C-suite executives, founders, or senior leadership in high-growth environments
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with complex, ambiguous problems
- Exceptional organizational skills and operational rigor
- Excellent verbal and written communication: clear, direct, and thoughtful
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure
