We are seeking a self-starter with deep DeFi experience and strong market intuition to play a pivotal role in defining, designing, and implementing native Sui protocols (e.g., DeepBook). In this role, you will contribute directly to product development while also shepherding the growth of the broader ecosystem in close collaboration with the engineering organization.
This team emphasizes rapid experimentation and iteration: try ideas, collect data, draw conclusions, and continuously adjust course.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable DeFi protocols
- Conduct market research to propose and validate new protocol ideas
- Build smart contracts, deploy them, and set up backend systems to collect data and monitor performance
- Actively leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude and others) in development and research workflows
- Stay current on Crypto Twitter (CT) and broader ecosystem developments
- Track emerging trends across other ecosystems and understand who is building what
Qualifications
- Experience writing smart contracts
- Experience with HFT / market making
- Strong understanding of market mechanics, liquidity, and order flow
- Actively engaged in DeFi trading and closely following DeFi trends and news
