Innovation Product Manager - SatoshiLabs

Trezor exists so that people can hold their own keys. But the hardest problems in self-custody are still unsolved. How do you pass your coins on to your family when you're gone? How do you back up a seed without trusting a piece of paper in a drawer? How do you share control of funds without trusting anyone? Millions of people don't self-custody because we, as an industry, haven't answered these questions well enough.

Our Innovation team exists to answer them. It's deliberately small and works differently from the rest of the company: instead of running one product area, you take a single hard problem and stay with it until it's solved, with the depth, research, and prototyping that usually gets squeezed out by day-to-day delivery. Along the way, you pull in the engineers, designers, and cryptographers across Trezor who know each part of the problem best.

We’re looking for an Innovation Product Manager to take on the questions our whole industry is still getting wrong: sending and receiving, backup and recovery, inheritance, and shared control of funds. You’ll define what we build and why, prove it with your own prototypes, and then see the project through to release together with the delivery teams across Suite, Firmware, and hardware.

This is a role for someone who is at their best with a hard problem, a blank page, and the freedom to decide how to attack it.

What You'll Do

  • Own mission-driven self-custody projects end to end, from the first idea to a shipped product
  • Gather input from users, support, partners, the wider crypto industry, and internal teams, and turn it into a sharp problem statement and a convincing case for solving it
  • Build the vision and roadmap for each project, then break it down until every contributing team can see exactly what it needs to do and why
  • Prototype yourself. Use AI to turn an idea into something clickable in hours, put it in front of real users, and let their reactions shape where the project goes
  • Work with experts from individual teams to solve the hard parts, whether that means cryptography and protocol design, feasibility on the device, design, or anything else the problem turns out to need
  • Finish the project together with the delivery teams across Suite, firmware, and hardware. As they build, you remain the person with the whole picture and has been there since day one
  • Be accountable for the quality and consistency of the solution across device, desktop, and mobile. The coherence of the whole solution is yours to defend
  • Watch the constraints that decide whether an idea is real: interoperability with other wallets and standards, and the physical limits of the hardware
  • Present and defend direction to stakeholders across the company, up to and including C-level. Facilitate difficult conversations between teams that see the problem differently

What We Need From You

  • Senior product experience, with a track record of owning something ambitious end to end rather than running a backlog someone else defined
  • You think about self-custody on your own time. You have opinions about seed backup, recovery, inheritance, and multisig, and you can defend them
  • A genuinely technical mind. You can hold your own in a deep technical conversation, and you know when to push back on an engineering constraint and when to accept it
  • You generate ideas. We are not hiring someone to collect requirements. We are hiring someone who arrives with a point of view and keeps producing new ones
  • Exceptional communication, written and spoken. You write documents people actually read, and you present in a way that moves a room
  • The ability to persuade rather than instruct. Your influence in this role comes from the quality of your thinking, not from an org chart
  • Deep knowledge of the crypto industry and active, hands-on use of it. You know where the pain is because you have felt it
  • Daily, fluent use of AI as a working tool for prototyping, research, and thinking
  • Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity
  • Fluency in English

Strong Plus

  • Experience with hardware devices, embedded systems, secure elements, or other constrained environments
  • Background in security, cryptography, or privacy-preserving technology
  • Hands-on familiarity with advanced wallet setups across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other ecosystems
  • Experience running qualitative user research, or designing and testing your own prototypes
  • Ability to collaborate onsite regularly in Prague
