Responsibilities
AML Data Analytics
- Analyse large datasets to support AML investigations, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and ongoing compliance initiatives.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators through data analysis.
- Assist in preparing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for management and regulatory reporting.
- Support the automation and enhancement of AML reporting and operational processes.
Research & Regulatory Analysis
- Monitor and summarize AML/CFT regulatory developments from MAS, FATF, and other relevant global regulators, particularly those relating to digital assets, derivatives, and financial services.
- Conduct research on emerging AML risks, typologies, and industry best practices.
- Assist in assessing the business impact of new or revised regulatory requirements.
Policy & Framework Development
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating internal AML policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Support initiatives to align internal controls and processes with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants where required.
Project Management Support
- Support the planning, execution, and tracking of AML compliance projects.
- Maintain project trackers, monitor progress, and follow up on deliverables to ensure project milestones are met.
- Assist in preparing management reports, presentations, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, Power Query, and advanced formulas); experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in AML, financial crime compliance, digital assets, or financial services.
