About DOPV
DOPV is a joint venture between Deep Ocean Partners (New York) and Polymath Ventures (Mexico City), combining institutional private credit expertise with deep operating knowledge of tech companies, local capital markets, and legal structures in Mexico.
We are a data science–led and AI-enabled private credit platform, focused on providing asset-backed lending (ABL) solutions to fintech, B2B SaaS, eCommerce, and other tech-enabled companies in Mexico. Our products include structured credit, factoring, and working capital facilities ranging from MXN $100–1,000 million ($5–50M USD equivalent), designed to scale alongside fast-growing businesses.
For DOPV, we are looking for an Investment Operations Analyst who will play a critical role in the day-to-day execution and monitoring of our structured credit portfolio. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless deal closings, ongoing compliance with contractual obligations, and effective coordination across all stakeholders, including trustees, master servicers, legal counsel, portfolio companies, and investors.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy position that combines operational rigor with real-world coordination. It requires both office-based work and frequent in-person engagement with external counterparties such as notaries, trustees, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Closing & Execution
- Coordinate the end-to-end closing process for structured credit transactions
- Collect and track execution of legal documentation across all parties
- Coordinate with notaries for document formalization and notarization
- Manage and follow up on Conditions Precedent (CPs) through full satisfaction
- Maintain document version control during negotiations with counterparties
- Act as the operational point person between internal teams, trustees, and portfolio companies during closings
Portfolio Monitoring
- Track compliance with financial covenants and performance tests for each transaction
- Maintain a detailed calendar of contractual obligations and key dates
- Receive, review, and archive periodic reports from the master services
- Prepare internal monitoring memos for review by the Investment Manager
- Track renewals and validity of insurance policies, powers of attorney, and other time-sensitive documentation
Third-Party Coordination
- Serve as the operational liaison with external legal counsel on execution-related matters
- Coordinate with trustees on payment instructions, collateral releases, and operational processes
- Request and follow up on clarifications or additional information from the master servicer as needed
Investor Operations
- Prepare and distribute capital call notices to investors
- Coordinate the execution of investor distributions
- Prepare and circulate periodic investor reporting (quarterly reports, statements, notices)
- Maintain accurate records of investor commitments, capital calls, and distributions
- Respond to investor information requests and coordinate inputs across internal teams
Documentation & Data Management
- Maintain organized and up-to-date deal-specific data rooms
- Manage physical and digital archives of executed original documents
- Coordinate subsequent drawdowns or disbursements when applicable
Candidate Profile
- 1–3 years of experience in legal, fiduciary, banking, or investment fund environments
- Basic understanding of trust structures, credit documentation, or structured finance
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- High ownership mentality and strong follow-through
- Solid Excel skills and comfort working with document management tools
- Willingness and availability to conduct frequent in-person coordination and field work within the city
