THE ROLE: Analyst / Associate – Risk Management
The Analyst of Risk Management at Galaxy plays a critical role in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating potential risks impacting our portfolio. This position focuses on both traditional market risk principles and the unique challenges of digital asset markets, ensuring proactive and prudent risk management.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and implement market/liquidity risk management systems and define rules/processes for risk control
- Design quantitative strategies, models, and policies for market risk management, including interest rate, currency, equity, commodity, and crypto-specific risks
- Collaborate with the trading team to integrate risk practices into investment decision-making
- Conduct risk assessments and scenario analyses for digital asset markets
- Develop and maintain advanced risk analytics and modeling techniques
- Stay current on digital asset market trends, regulations, and risk management best practices
- Leverage on-chain data to enable data-driven risk decision-making
- Assist in building and maintaining systems for calculating risk metrics
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Analyst Level
- 18+ months of professional experience in risk management or related fields (finance/crypto)
- Base Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 USD
Associate Level
- 4-5+ years of professional experience in risk management or related fields (finance/crypto)
- Base Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 USD
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial and crypto products
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Python coding
