ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for Product Marketing Lead who is also a trader who's also a strong communicator to own how Arcus explains what it ships to its users to generate excitement and engagement.
You turn what engineering builds into communications that traders understand and trust: blog posts, announcements, changelogs, docs, and launch threads. Every product update and incentive change passes through you first.
You're also the product team's best read on what traders actually think. You talk to traders directly, follow what they're saying across the chats, and bring back clear findings that shape product decisions and the roadmap.
This is a hands-on senior role that reports to the CBO and works daily with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Community.
Done well, this role is how Arcus earns trust with every launch. You'll be the voice that makes complex products feel clear, keeps traders confident in what's shipping, and turns real trader feedback into a sharper product for everyone.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Launches: for every release you write the positioning, the announcement, the blog post, the X thread, and the docs update. You approve launch timing with Engineering so traders hear about a change before it goes live.
- Prepare a short brief for each launch so KOLs, BD and regional communities have the right facts and assets.
- In product copy: You own and sign off on all user facing copy within the product and app.
- Eng to comms pipeline: you run the weekly changelog with Engineering and read it daily. Sensitive changes (fees, liquidations, withdrawals, points, security) get lead time and a reviewed draft. Nothing ships unannounced.
- Announcement approvals. You draft, validate internally, and sign off on announcements. You decide what gets said, when, in which channels, and in what order.
- Long-form content: use internal data to draft blog posts, product explainers, market-structure pieces and launch narratives that a trader would actually read.
- Narrative and positioning: refine differentiation theses and roadmap into credible narrative positioning on why Arcus is different from competitors
- Product signal: Talk to traders every day: whales, early contributors, active traders and people who churned. Transmit feedback on fills, listings, fees, UX, competitors, and other signal into structured synthesis for leadership
- Get the most out of every partner, starting with Robinhood and the Robinhood Chain ecosystem. Set up co-marketing with each partner, then write and coordinate joint announcements, campaigns and content.
- Incident / crisis comms: during rare market or product events, you write what we say, working with Engineering and Community. Community operates the information dissemination; you own the strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years in product marketing, content or comms at a crypto-native or trading product, or an equivalent record of shipping launches.
- You trade actively. You can explain funding rates, liquidations and fee tiers precisely, because a wrong sentence about them costs trust and money.
- You've worked closely with engineers. You can read a changelog or spec, ask the right questions, and turn it into plain language without losing accuracy.
- You write clearly and fast, in both long and short form.
- You have a network of traders who reply to you and tell you the truth.
- Good judgment about tone under pressure: you know when to explain, when to stay quiet, and when an apology makes things worse.
NICE TO HAVES
- Launched products at a perp DEX (decentralized perpetual-futures exchange), a prediction market or a trading venue
- Experience with points, rewards or token programs
- Knowledge of Asian trader communities (Korea, Greater China)
