About the Opportunity
Maverick Currencies is hiring a Senior Director to lead and scale its institutional-grade crypto operations and underlying platform.
This role is ideal for a hands-on senior leader or ex-founder who wants real ownership over how a modern digital asset operation runs day to day—without the politics or overhead of a C-level title.
** Key Responsibilities**
- Operational Leadership: Lead end-to-end crypto operations, including trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, and funding.
- System Architecture: Design and improve back-office and middle-office systems for maximum efficiency.
- Financial Integrity: Ensure accurate books & records and maintain rigorous auditability.
- Product Partnership: Partner with engineering to drive automation and seamless integrations.
- Strategic Readiness: Drive operational readiness for new products, jurisdictions, and counterparties.
- Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Team Management: Lead, manage, and mentor the operations team.
- External Coordination: Act as the primary lead for exchanges, custodians, and partners.
** Key Requirements**
- Experience: 7–10+ years in trading, operations, or platform-focused roles.
- Domain Expertise: Strong digital asset infrastructure knowledge and understanding of blockchain, DeFi, and custody.
- Execution Focus: Proven experience scaling high-volume operations.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with APIs and system integrations.
- Leadership: A focus on execution-led leadership and team development.
