Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously optimize a SOX-compliant global procurement infrastructure that aligns high-level financial strategy with multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements to ensure absolute fiscal integrity and operational scalability
- Work closely with all business units and/or functions to identify and evaluate strategic vendors and lead negotiations for Tier 1 global contracts
- Partner with contract owners and cross-functional teams, including Legal, IT, and Compliance, to ensure contract terms are strategically aligned with business objectives
- Track Capex budgets vs. actuals, ensuring all major investments deliver maximum ROI and meet project timelines
- Act as the "gatekeeper" for global spend, ensuring all procurement activities align with quarterly and annual FP&A targets
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accurate capitalization and tracking of global assets
- Manage the vendor onboarding process, ensuring that appropriate due diligence is completed and the necessary risk assessments have been conducted
- Manage the total vendor lifecycle by establishing performance monitoring systems, conducting regular service level reviews, and proactively managing contract renewals or terminations
- Rank and evaluate vendors in terms of criticality and ensure robust contingency plans are in place, including assessing vendors' own business continuity protocols
- Deliver sophisticated global spend intelligence that provides the Senior Management team with a 360-degree view of corporate outflows, contract leakage, and realized savings
- Oversee the procurement system to ensure "one source of truth" for all global spend data
- Perform continuous market analysis and price benchmarking to ensure competitive commercial positioning
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security requirements, including meeting relevant Security and Privacy standards throughout the sourcing and contracting process
Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within a high-growth fintech or regulated financial services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related disciplines
- Solid experience and knowledge in sourcing, vendor negotiations, procurement operations, and third-party risk management frameworks
- Strong understanding of governance, data privacy, security controls, internal controls, and compliance expectations applicable to the financial services industry
- Strong background in managing sourcing for software, cloud services, IT, and professional services categories
- Exceptional negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and maintain strategic focus in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to balance business agility with risk management and to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous or high-pressure situations
- Excellent command of spoken and written English with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Passionate about Crypto and the growth of digital assets
- Strong willingness to "roll up the sleeves" and get the job done in a collaborative team setting
