About the role
We are looking for a contract Technical Sourcer to partner with our recruiting team and hiring managers to build strong, diverse pipelines for engineering and technical roles. You will own the top of the funnel: identifying, engaging, and qualifying passive candidates so that recruiters and interview teams can focus on closing. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who loves the hunt and knows how to get busy engineers to reply.
Type: Contract (3 to 6 months, with potential to extend or convert)
Responsibilities
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, team context, and ideal candidate profiles.
- Build and execute creative sourcing strategies across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, niche communities, and Boolean and X-ray search.
- Generate qualified, diverse candidate pipelines for roles such as software engineering, data, infrastructure, security, and platform.
- Write personalized outreach that earns responses and reflects our employer brand.
- Conduct initial screens to assess technical fit, motivation, and logistics before handing candidates to recruiters.
- Track pipeline activity and keep the ATS clean and current.
- Report on sourcing metrics including response rates, conversion, and pipeline health, and adjust tactics based on the data.
- Share market insight on talent availability, compensation trends, and competitor movement.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of sourcing or recruiting experience, with a meaningful portion focused on technical roles.
- Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates, including hard-to-find or senior profiles.
- Comfort understanding technical role requirements well enough to qualify candidates without hand-holding.
- Excellent written communication and a track record of high outreach response rates.

- A self-directed, organized working style suited to a contract engagement.
Nice to have
- Experience sourcing in a specific domain such as AI and machine learning, security, or distributed systems.
- Experience building diverse pipelines and working toward inclusive hiring goals.
- Familiarity with sourcing automation or outreach tools.
