THE ROLE: Trading Analyst – Credit/Rates
The Trading Analyst will join Galaxy’s Credit/Rates trading team, supporting cross-asset proprietary trading books and collaborating with multiple business lines, including franchise and principal trading desks. The role combines execution, research, risk monitoring, and tooling development to support trading and strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist senior traders with cross-asset proprietary trading books (Cryptocurrency, Equities, Rates, FX, Commodities) through execution, research, and risk management
- Monitor market news across single names, industry trends, regulations, and politics
- Develop and communicate informed views on live positions and potential opportunities in crypto and global macro markets
- Conduct research on crypto, equity, and macro catalysts, proposing original trading ideas
- Collaborate across teams, including Lending, Derivatives Trading, Principal Trading, and Strategic Opportunities
- Support trading desk operations and improve internal workflows
- Develop monitoring and analysis tools to discover opportunities, streamline operations, and enhance execution
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Highly self-directed with the ability to solve problems independently
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics)
- Deep experience with cryptocurrency markets, DeFi, perpetual futures, and prediction markets
- Basic familiarity with derivatives and global macro markets
- Technical skills a plus: Excel, Python, other programming languages, trading software, data analytics, databases
- Experience integrating AI/LLMs or agentic tools into workflows or internal tooling is a bonus
- Proactive, curious, and detail-oriented with intellectual rigor
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS (US)
- Base Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 USD
