THE ROLE: Senior Back End Developer – GalaxyOne
The Senior Back End Developer will design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable back-end systems powering web and mobile applications for GalaxyOne. You will collaborate with back-end developers, front-end engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliability, security, and performance while contributing to the architecture of GalaxyOne’s offerings.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases
- Collaborate with front-end, product, and DevOps teams for seamless feature integration
- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions for high transaction volumes
- Implement best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment (code reviews, automated tests)
- Stay current on emerging trends in back-end development, blockchain, and fintech
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of back-end development experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Hands-on experience with Node, Express, TypeScript, and frameworks like Nest.js
- Strong experience with SQL; exposure to NoSQL is a plus
- Experience with Microservices and Event-based architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Caching and Messaging Queues (e.g., Kafka)
- Experience using Postman and Git / Bitbucket
Bonus Points:
- Prior experience working in a startup, taking a product from zero to one
- Experience in financial markets or brokerages
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS (US)
- Base Salary: $175,000 – $220,000 USD
