About us
Founded in 2015 with the mission to protect the open economy, OpenZeppelin is the world leader in securing blockchain applications and smart contracts.
Our Open-Source Contract Libraries are a public good that have facilitated the transfer of over $35 trillion and are considered the industry standard for smart contract development.
Our professional expertise integrates seamlessly into clients’ development lifecycles, enabling teams to plan, code, audit, deploy, and operate projects more quickly and securely.
Please note: Always refer to OpenZeppelin's official job page for the most accurate information about our open roles, as we have seen multiple third party job sites posting inaccurate information.
**The Marketing Team
**
The Marketing Team at OpenZeppelin drives awareness and adoption across every product and service we ship, from the flagship OpenZeppelin Contracts Libraries to open source development tooling like Relayers and Monitor and Financial Institutions services.
Working hand-in-hand with Product, Design, Sales, and Open Source Engineering, the team owns messaging, go-to-market strategy, content, and events that position OpenZeppelin as the standard for blockchain development.
What you'll be doing
As OpenZeppelin's Web Developer, you will own the development, maintenance, and evolution of openzeppelin.com and related web properties. Your role is to replace our current agency model with in-house execution improving quality, speed, and reliability while building a modern, high-performance website that reflects OpenZeppelin's identity as a leading technology and security company. You will lead the migration from our current CMS to a modern stack, build interactive experiences that engage developers and enterprise audiences, and ensure our web presence is optimized for both traditional search and AI-driven discovery.
- Own website development and operations by building, maintaining, and optimizing openzeppelin.com and related web properties, ensuring consistent uptime, fast load times, and a seamless user experience.
- Lead and execute the CMS migration from HubSpot to a modern stack (Next.js, Webflow, or similar), managing the phased transition from architecture planning through implementation and deployment.
- Build interactive web experiences including live code playgrounds, dynamic stats dashboards, ROI calculators, and developer tools that set OpenZeppelin apart from competitors.
- Implement technical SEO and AIO optimization through schema markup, structured data, Core Web Vitals improvements, and content structures optimized for AI Overview and generative search engines.
- Manage website infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines, staging environments, CDN configuration, and monitoring to ensure reliability and fast iteration cycles.
- Create conversion-focused assets such as landing pages, lead capture tools, smart CTAs, and engagement widgets to support marketing campaigns and lead generation initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally by working with Design, Product Marketing, DevRel, Demand Generation, and Content teams to translate designs into pixel-perfect implementations and support marketing initiatives with technical execution.
You have
- 2-4 years of professional web development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Next.js, and modern HTML/CSS.
- Experience with at least one modern CMS platform (Webflow, Contentful, Sanity, or similar headless CMS).
- Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, web performance optimization, and analytics tools.
- Comfort with version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and modern deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, or similar).
- An eye for design and strong attention to detail when translating mockups into responsive, production-quality code.
- A self-driven, proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools, LLM APIs, or automation platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier, or custom scripts). We see a huge opportunity to use AI to multiply our marketing team's productivity, and a developer who can build these workflows will have outsized impact in this role.
Nice to have
- Experience in the blockchain, Web3, or crypto industry.
