A quick run-down of the job
We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data models and pipelines that power how LI.FI understands its business and the on-chain world. You'll own the full journey from raw data to reliable, well-modeled datasets; working across blockchain data, internal databases, and third-party sources. You'll also build dashboards, support stakeholders with analytical projects, and help ensure our metrics are consistent and trustworthy. The role sits within our Data team and you'll collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain data models aligned with business requirements and our data architecture

Manage data pipelines end-to-end, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery

Write complex SQL queries and macros to transform data efficiently, optimizing for performance

Build data quality checks throughout pipelines to ensure reliable datasets

Analyze data from multiple sources (APIs, blockchain, databases) to generate actionable insights
-
Conduct exploratory analyses on on-chain data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities

Build and maintain dashboards on Dune Analytics and other platforms for internal and public use

Support stakeholders by translating business questions into clear analytical projects

Integrate data from different sources, ensuring proper validation and accuracy

Collaborate with data analysts and analytics engineers to ensure consistency in metrics and definitions

Maintain high standards of documentation and integrity across all work

Contribute to team processes, share workflow improvements, and mentor junior members
What makes a good candidate
-
At least 3 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or BI development
-
Expert-level SQL with deep experience in data modeling, complex queries, and optimization
-
Proven data modeling expertise using dbt, sqlmesh, or dataform, with solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT concepts

Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports with visualization tools (Preset, Omni, or Looker)

Experience working with on-chain data, especially using Dune Analytics

Strong Python proficiency

Experience with data validation, cleaning, and quality assurance

Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines end-to-end

Understanding of blockchain data structures and on-chain analytics

Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights

Takes full ownership of projects, holds yourself to high execution standards, and knows when to ask for help

Meticulous about data accuracy, documentation, and self-review

Clear communicator who adapts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Comfortable experimenting with new approaches, learning from mistakes, and adapting quickly

Passionate about crypto/web3 and eager to explore new tools and technologies
Nice to have

Cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake is a plus)

Previous experience in blockchain analytics or fintech

Familiarity with data architecture concepts including data lakes and integrating data from multiple sources

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
