Role Overview

As a Blockchain Engineer at Blockchain Game Alliance, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining blockchain infrastructure and smart contract systems that power Web3 gaming experiences and decentralized economies.
You will work closely with full stack engineers, product managers, designers, and ecosystem partners to build secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain solutions for gaming applications, NFT systems, marketplaces, and virtual economies.
This role requires deep technical understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contract development, decentralized protocols, and Web3 integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Smart Contract Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure smart contracts for blockchain gaming platforms
• Build and maintain NFT systems, token mechanics, staking systems, marketplace functionality, and decentralized gaming features
• Optimize smart contracts for scalability, gas efficiency, and security
• Conduct smart contract debugging, auditing support, and performance improvements

Blockchain Infrastructure

• Develop and maintain blockchain integrations and decentralized application infrastructure
• Build backend services and APIs that interact with blockchain networks
• Integrate wallet connection systems and transaction workflows
• Monitor blockchain network performance and troubleshoot technical issues

Web3 & Protocol Integration

• Work with Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, or other blockchain ecosystems
• Integrate decentralized protocols, token standards, and blockchain-based services
• Support implementation of Web3 authentication and decentralized identity systems
• Collaborate on cross-chain or Layer 2 solutions when applicable

Security & Optimization

• Implement blockchain security best practices and secure coding standards
• Identify vulnerabilities, risks, and optimization opportunities in smart contracts and infrastructure
• Assist with smart contract audits and penetration testing processes
• Ensure reliability and integrity of decentralized systems and transactions

Collaboration & Development Workflow

• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers on blockchain integrations
• Participate in architecture planning, technical discussions, and development reviews
• Contribute to GitHub workflows, pull requests, and code review processes
• Maintain clear technical documentation and development standards

Research & Innovation

• Stay current with emerging blockchain technologies, standards, and industry trends
• Research advancements in Web3 gaming, NFTs, DeFi, metaverse infrastructure, and decentralized economies
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve scalability, interoperability, and user experience

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer, Smart Contract Engineer, or Software Engineer
• Strong programming experience with Solidity, Rust, or similar blockchain-related languages
• Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, decentralized systems, and smart contracts
• Experience working with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible blockchains
• Familiarity with token standards such as ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155
• Experience using Web3 libraries such as Ethers.js, Web3.js, or Viem

Development Experience

• Experience deploying and managing smart contracts in production environments
• Familiarity with Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, Anchor, or similar blockchain development frameworks
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and collaborative development workflows
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with backend development and API integration is a plus

Security & Infrastructure

• Understanding of blockchain security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with multisig systems, wallet security, and transaction validation
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, DevOps workflows, or node management is beneficial

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in remote and international teams
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
• Passion for blockchain technology, gaming, and decentralized ecosystems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building blockchain gaming platforms or NFT marketplaces
• Familiarity with Layer 2 scaling solutions and cross-chain technologies
• Experience with Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, or other non-EVM ecosystems
• Knowledge of DeFi protocols and token economy design
• Experience contributing to open-source blockchain projects
• Understanding of multiplayer gaming systems or virtual economies
