About the Team

The Market Operations team oversees the launch strategy, growth, and ongoing management of World across all markets. This team deploys and manages all Orbs worldwide and serves as the primary point of contact for local Operators. Our mission is to effectively onboard active users to World and help build a globally inclusive identity and financial network.

About the Opportunity

As our Growth & Operations Lead in the UK, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling and maturing World’s operations in one of our most strategic markets. You’ll manage the day-to-day performance of UK Operators, drive sustainable user growth, and ensure that all activities meet the highest standards of compliance, trust, and brand reputation.

This is both a strategic and operational leadership role. You will collaborate with Market Operations, Legal, Policy, Marketing, and Central Operations to ensure World’s UK activities are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our global vision.

You’ll serve as the local connector between global priorities and on-the-ground execution — driving performance, enabling collaboration, and building strong relationships across our Operator network and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth and operational performance of World in the UK, ensuring strong Operator execution, compliance, and a high-quality user experience
  • Support UK market expansion, including location strategy, launch planning, and performance ramp-up across multiple cities
  • Build, onboard, and manage a high-performing network of Operators and partners, driving accountability and consistent standards
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Communications to design and execute high-trust, user-centric activations and demand generation initiatives
  • Drive performance across all locations, improving key metrics such as verifications, uptime, and Operator productivity
  • Establish and continuously improve operational systems, processes, and playbooks to enable scalable growth
  • Use data and insights to track performance, optimise CAC and funnel conversion, and inform strategic decisions
  • Identify risks and proactively implement solutions across operations, partnerships, and market execution
  • Deliver in-person and remote Operator training to ensure consistency, quality, and ongoing performance improvement
  • Act as the central point of coordination between global teams and local execution, ensuring priorities move from strategy to deliver

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, business development, or growth management, ideally within technology, micro-mobility, quick commerce or high-growth environments.
  • Proven success managing distributed teams or partner networks across multiple sites.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; able to manage high-performing Operator relationships with professionalism and empathy.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into strategy and action.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-evolving contexts.
  • Based in London and willing to travel across the UK and occasionally within Europe.
