We are seeking
You will join our team as Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel based in Oslo. You will work directly with the Regional Legal Director to support Bitdeer’s growth in Europe. Your main focus will be managing complex transactions, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
What you will be responsible for
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements. You will work on data center projects, infrastructure, and equipment purchases. You will handle NDAs, framework agreements, and construction contracts.
- M&A and Finance: Act as a key legal advisor for corporate transactions. You will support M&A processes, including due diligence, binding offers, and transaction documents. You will also assist with financing processes.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Research and advise on Norwegian and European regulations. Key focus areas include energy law, licenses, grid connection agreements, and permits.
- Corporate Governance: Manage the contract lifecycle and approval processes for European deals. You will also oversee corporate governance for our Norwegian and European entities, including board resolutions.
- External and Internal Relations: Ensure high-quality legal output. You will manage external legal counsel. You will also be a strategic partner to our internal business teams.
How you will stand out
- Education: Master of Laws degree from a recognized university.
- Bar Admission: Admission to the Norwegian Bar, or the bar of another relevant European jurisdiction, is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3–6 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably from a leading law firm or an in-house legal team.
- M&A and Financing: Direct experience with M&A and corporate financing.
- Infrastructure & Energy: Experience with infrastructure, energy, or large-scale construction projects, such as data centers or energy projects.
- Norwegian Corporate Law: Knowledge of Norwegian corporate law and regulations.
- Languages: Fluent written and spoken English. Fluency in Norwegian is a strong advantage.
- Drafting & Negotiation: Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Commercial Mindset: Proactive and focused on commercial solutions.
- Collaboration: Able to work independently and in teams, and to manage stakeholder communications.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for a fast-paced, international environment.
- Integrity: High ethical standards.
