The Coinbase Brazil team is focused on driving our operations and growth strategy across the country. We collaborate cross-functionally to launch features tailored to the Brazilian market, run localized marketing campaigns, and ensure the Coinbase experience meets the expectations of Brazilian users. We aim to expand Coinbase’s presence in Brazil by delivering impactful features and experiences designed for local users. From payment integrations to promotional efforts, our goal is to make Coinbase the platform of choice for Brazilians entering the world of crypto. Compliance plays a key role in our work. Coinbase is seeking experienced engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud. What you'll be doing:
- Deliver creative customer facing features to bring 1 billion people on chain.
- Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems.
- Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
- Build high quality, well tested features to meet the needs of your customers
- Actively mentor junior engineers and facilitate their career development
What we look for in you:
- You have at least 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- You've designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service oriented architecture.
- You write high-quality, well-tested code with a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end feature lifecycle.
- You're passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Nice to haves:
- You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from startup to mid-size).
- You've built growth experiments or A/B tests.
- You have experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc..)
- Experience as a Full Stack Developer or willingness to contribute to frontend development.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, microservices, and containerized environments (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
- You've built financial, high reliability or security systems.
- You have Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): R$466.800 — R$466.800 BRL
