Safe Software is looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will lead full-cycle recruitment, develop creative sourcing strategies, and elevate our candidate experience while supporting hiring managers across the organization. Your work will directly influence Safe’s growth by helping us bring in resilient, high-performing talent who thrive in our dynamic environment.
About The Team
As a part of the Talent Acquisition team, you’ll join a collaborative group of recruiters and HR professionals who partner closely with hiring managers, business leaders, and the larger Human Resources team. We work cross-functionally to deeply understand business needs, deliver high-quality hiring processes, and ensure an inclusive, positive candidate experience.
The Talent Acquisition team is responsible for sourcing top talent, managing the hiring process end-to-end, implementing assessment tools, and continuously improving our recruitment practices for scalability and global growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, from intake to offer, ensuring a positive, transparent, and engaging candidate experience.
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract talent across Canada, the US, and international markets.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, refine job descriptions, and build effective recruitment strategies.
- Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems, job boards, social sourcing, referrals, and talent market insights to identify high-quality candidates.
- Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including skills evaluation and behaviour-based interviews.
- Introduce and administer additional testing mechanisms (e.g., work sample tests, structured assessments, role-specific challenges) to ensure high-quality hires.
- Communicate regularly with candidates, providing updates and feedback while maintaining Safe’s human-centered approach.
- Analyze recruitment data and metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Build and nurture ongoing talent pipelines for critical and high-volume roles.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Safers come from a variety of backgrounds with a diversity in skills and knowledge. That said, we find that those who are most successful in this role have experience with the following areas.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience, preferably within the technology sector.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration**,** or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated success recruiting in the US and internationally, with strong understanding of global talent markets.
- Experience designing and implementing sourcing strategies for technical and non-technical roles.
- Strong interviewing capabilities, including structured interviewing and behavioural interviewing.
- Ability to introduce and leverage testing mechanisms such as work samples, technical challenges, situational judgment tests, or competency-based assessments.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and guide hiring managers.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive outreach and networking.
Technical Skills
- Experience with Ashby or similar modern, data-driven Applicant Tracking Systems
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other professional sourcing platforms
- Familiarity with recruitment analytics and data-driven decision making
Desired skills / Bonus points:
- Knowledge of employer branding strategies and talent market research
- Training or certification in structured interviewing or assessment methodology
- Experience building diversity sourcing strategies and inclusive recruitment practices
