Safe Software is looking for a Senior Project Manager, Cloud Services to join our Information Services team. As a Senior Project Manager, Cloud Services, you will own and advance key initiatives within our corporate cloud services space, directly influencing service reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Your leadership will play a key role in supporting internal teams and driving Safe Software’s infrastructure into the future.
About The Team
As a part of the Information Services team, you’ll join a group of cross-functional experts in IT Support, Information Security, Revenue Operations and Service Enablement who collaboratively support our internal technical operations. The group is responsible for managing corporate IT infrastructure, ensuring robust cloud governance, supporting product development and business teams, financial transparency, and maintaining high standards of security and compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Project Manager, Cloud Services, you will be responsible for:

Cloud Infrastructure Projects**
- Oversee architecture, deployment, and lifecycle of Azure, AWS and GCP environments.
- Implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure frameworks.
- Establish and promote best practices for AI-centered automation, governance, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Drive backup, disaster recovery, and multi-regional availability strategies.
Enterprise IT
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, Enterprise SaaS architecture and service optimization.
- Collaborate with IT Support, Legal and InfoSec to enhance IAM, data retention, and compliance.
Security & Compliance
- Partner with InfoSec on security incident response and enforcement of best practices.
- Align cloud operations with security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Improve RBAC and least-privilege access models.
Product Team Partnership
- Enable product engineering, DevOps, operations and support teams with secure, cost-effective infrastructure.
- Define provisioning guidelines that align with performance, security, and budget goals.
- Provide cloud architecture advice for new product initiatives.
FinOps & Cost Optimization
- Champion FinOps culture across teams with transparency and efficiency initiatives.
- Optimize spend with reserved instances, autoscaling, and cost dashboards.
- Collaborate with Finance to forecast budgets and manage cloud vendor contracts.
Leadership & Team Development
- Define and execute the corporate cloud roadmap in line with company strategy.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI tools.
- Represent IS in cross-functional leadership forums.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Safers come from a variety of backgrounds with a diversity in skills and knowledge. That said, we find that those who are most successful in this role have experience with the following areas.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 8+ years of experience managing and delivering cloud services or enterprise IT initiatives, ideally within SaaS or other software-driven organizations.
- Proven experience leading cloud services and corporate IT functions.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts.
- Strong grasp of FinOps, IT automation, and governance practices.
- Security and compliance expertise (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Cost optimization tools and dashboarding (e.g., CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer).
- Security best practices, including IAM and RBAC.
- Ability to clearly communicate strategy and technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to AI-driven solutions in IT/cloud environments.
- Strategic experience in vendor negotiations and cloud roadmap definition.
